Celebrating the success of our 2024 Future Leadership Program graduates

We are extremely excited to celebrate the success of our 2024 Future Leadership Program Graduates. Launched in May this year, the 2024 GCW Future Leadership Program is an exciting initiative that reflects our commitment to heavily investing in our emerging talent across the GCW Group of companies.

Colloquially referred to as ‘Top Gun,’ the program draws inspiration from the U.S. Navy’s elite fighter pilot program. In this context, ‘Top Gun’ signifies excellence, top performance, mastery, and an opportunity to learn from some of the best.

The Future Leadership Program is a management development initiative designed to prepare selected participants for future leadership roles. It is aimed at individuals within our businesses who show high potential for growth and development into management positions.

The program commenced with a 5-day intensive management workshop in Sydney, followed by participants being divided into three project teams. Each team was tasked with developing a business proposal over the next three months, culminating in an in-person presentation for the Board’s consideration. The program was supported by both internal and external subject matter experts and facilitated by Dave Ryan, Group Projects and Strategic Support and Steve Korcz, Group Product Support Manager.

  • Team G6: Michelle Bingham, Daniel Cooper, Taylor Marks, and Debbie Robinson focused on evaluating the Group cyber-security measures, offering key recommendations for improvement.
  • The 3 Amigos: Nichole Muratore, Robin Otieno, and Cheyenne Ponisi developed a marketing strategy to connect the Grace Removals brand with the next generation of Australians.
  • Team MPEC: Mariam Madbouh, Peter McDonough, Christopher Thyer, and Elaine Tsigounis researched the Group corporate culture, reviewed the current landscape, and proposed initiatives for change.

Over the course of 14 weeks, these teams have shown incredible dedication and collaboration, working tirelessly on their projects to uncover innovative solutions to emerging company challenges.

In the first week of September 2024, the participants presented their findings and recommendations to the Leadership Advisory Board in Brisbane. Their presentations were nothing short of exceptional, showcasing their hard work and demonstrating their potential as future leaders within our organisation.

Craig Page, Managing Director of GCW Group, commented, “Congratulations to the graduates of our 2024 ‘Future Leadership Program.’ You came together as many from across our group of companies but left as one. Your passion, professionalism, and determination to succeed throughout the 14-week program were truly inspiring.”

Stay tuned for updates on the outcomes of their projects and the continued progress of our future leaders.
